Education
I am a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) graduate from the University of Nairobi. I also have a certificate in Early Grade Reading Instruction from the University of Nairobi and certificate in Management from the Kenya Institute of Management. Additionally, I graduated with a PGCEi from the University of Nottingham in July 2022. I am currently pursuing a TEFL certification from the International House Berkeley.
Experience
I have about two years tutoring year two students and have also taught in 3rd grade fourth grade and continued to tutor 5th and 6th grade students. I have also been continuously attending training sessions that involve different teaching methods that help learners to be more successful. I have participated in math, reading and writing workshops through which I have acquired skills to assist students in these subjects. Tutoring is another way that helps me as a teacher to assist students to have a better grasp of concepts learned in class through reinforcement. I also believe in sharing and interacting with other teachers which enables me to learn new teaching strategies and expand my ideas.
