Education
I graduated at University of Nairobi in the year 2015 with BSc Mathematics, First Class Honors . Being among the top 1% in my class, I got a MasterCard Foundation Scholarship to study Masters in Mathematical Sciences at African Institute for Mathematical Sciences-AIMS South Africa. A program that was offered in collaboration with University of Western Cape and modules taught by lecturers from internationally renown institutions such as University of Paris, University of Oxford e.t.c. I am currently enrol for Mphil+PhD in Environmental Science at Cyprus Institute, my project being air quality forecasting , in Nicosia using machine learning and deep learning I am a researcher in the field of data science and machine learning. Now having undergraduate and masters in mathematics has given me a strong foundation in data analytics and data visualization R, Sagemath, Tableau and python. I also have strong background in Operations Research, more specifically optimization and in my masters thesis, I did explore optimization algorithms such as MILP, Dynamic Programming, Branch and Bound, Lagrangian Relaxation and so forth. Currently my research skewed toward machine learning and deep learning algoithms such as Decision Tree, Logistic Regression, Linear Regression and many more. That means I am exposed to machine learning libraries; Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, Seaborn and Matplotlib. I believe I have enough tools for data wrangling, data visualization,data analytics and making prediction using machine learning algorithms..
Experience
I have over 2years experience teaching mathematics in secondary schools in Kenya and tutoring mathematics at Falsebay College in Cape Town, South Africa.
