I am a Ph.D. in Economics candidate at the University of Nairobi. My specialty is in financial economics and econometrics. Additionally, I am competent in microeconomics, macroeconomics, information economics, monetary economics, and quantitative analysis. Further, I am a trained researcher and public policy analyst from the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA). I am adept in data analysis using STATA. In addition, I am a certified finance and investment analyst (CIFA-K). Regarding finance courses, I am proficient in teaching financial mathematics, analysis, and valuation of fixed income instruments, asset management, portfolio management, valuation and analysis of derivatives, equity analysis, and financial institutions and markets.
Experience
I am currently a graduate assistant at the University of Nairobi. I have extensive experience and knowledge in the preparation of teaching material, teaching university and college students, and marking examinations. My experience in teaching and assessment of students has equipped me with the ability to detect and address students’ limitations. I help students grasp and understand economics and finance concepts through exposure to actual data applications. In addition, I am experienced in providing research guidance from concept note development, literature review, developing empirical models, and data analysis.
