Education
I am a tenor/baritone vocal artist experienced in Classical, Jazz, African, and World music approaches. I'm working on growing skills in Jazz Harmony, Arranging, and Songwriting with leanings towards Gospel, Country and Soul music. I have about 10 years worth of intense, growing experience in Classical and Contemporary approaches to music performance and training. An alumni of: University of Eastern, Africa Baraton (Bachelor of Music, Music Education & English), Wynton House of Music (Grades 4 and 5 in Music Theory, Piano, and Flute); The Kenya Conservatoire of Music (The Kenya Conservatoire Orchestra playing the flute); Berkeley College of Music (Music Education & Writing and Production). I am also an intermediate player of the Flute, Piano, Guitar, Clarinet, Saxophone and Recorder. Currently, I am working on performance repertoire and projects focusing on Music Education, and Contemporary Writing and Production. I am also pursuing an online Professional Degree in Music Production with Berklee Online Degree program.
Experience
As founder and educator at Sounds of Infinity, I have worked with the ETMA Youth Choir where I worked on applying vocal concepts in training a youth start-up choir to sing hymns and develop their vocal skills for a variety of song genres. I have served as a vocal faculty outreach substitute teacher with the Berklee City Music Network in Boston. I am presently growing and sharpening my skills in performance, artist mentorship and artist management.
